Through playful activity the children learn mindfulness and relaxation techniques to quieten the mind, recognise emotions, create positive self-talk and interact with others in a calm and relaxing manner.
This is ideal as an after school club for ages from Nursery through to Year 2 as it is very lighthearted. Each 30 minute to one hour session covers seven clear steps: movement & exercise, mindfulness and relaxation games, stretching, peer or self massage, breathing techniques, affirmations and visualisations.
For extra fun and engagement, sessions are structured around a theme such as Star Wars, Superheroes or Under the Sea.
