Why Mindfulness?
There has never been a better time to introduce mindfulness to people of all ages. The pandemic has exacerbated the stresses and demands of an already pressurised world. And mindfulness is a valuable tool that can help us to navigate the challenges of modern life; among other qualities, it can increase emotional intelligence, self-awareness and resilience. Through focusing on the present moment without judgement, mindfulness can create a sense of calm and provide the space necessary to consciously choose how to respond to thoughts and emotions.

Why Mindful Meerkat?
Jo uses mindfulness to build confidence, resilience and self-esteem; an approach she offers to adults and children, having completed training to teach mindfulness to adults in 2018. Mindful Meerkat draws on Jo's extensive experience and knowledge as well as her drive to help people navigate a constantly changing and pressurised world.

Jo was a teacher for over ten years and a Deputy Head for five. In 2013, she was introduced to mindfulness and instantly saw the remarkable difference it can make to anyone's life, introducing elements of it into the classroom. Jo subsequently took the logical leap, and became a full-time practitioner and teacher of mindfulness to children, then training in three programs: Relax Kids, Paws b and .b. All three teach children mindfulness with a real sense of fun whilst preserving the integrity of the practice.
