Finding Peace in a frantic World

Based on the bestselling book by Mark Williams and Danny Penman, develop your mindfulness skills, break the cycle of stress, unhappiness, anxiety and mental exhaustion, and cultivate self-compassion and a deeper appreciation for life.
This course caters to individuals and organisations seeking a well-organised, hands-on, and easily accessible introduction to mindfulness. It is taught in six weekly session of 90 minutes, along with home practice of about 20 minutes per day.

The structure of the course follows the outline of the bestselling book Mindfulness: A Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World, co-authored by Danny Penman and Mark Williams – the leading mindfulness researcher in the UK and co-founder of the MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) programme.

You will be taught a series of daily meditations, both formal and informal, that you will be encouraged to practice at home. These meditations range in duration, with some as short as three minutes and others lasting up to 20 minutes. The meditations are supported by audio recordings that accompany the book, providing guidance and support throughout the practice.
Additionally, the course introduces "Habit Releasers," which are designed to help you break unconscious habits of thinking and behaving that stop us from living our life to the full. By consciously disrupting these unhelpful routines, you can gradually dissolve negative thinking patterns and cultivate greater mindfulness and awareness.

Overall, the course aims to help to develop mindfulness, self-compassion, and a deeper appreciation for life. By incorporating daily meditations, breaking unhelpful habits, and fostering kindness and nourishment, participants can enhance their well-being and lead a more fulfilling life.
