Paws b

A scientific approach relating brain processes to emotions resulting in six practices that 8-11 year olds can use in their daily lives.
In this course children learn about the different parts of the brain and how they relate to their decisions, actions and the emotions that they experience each day. Children are taught to distinguish between thoughts and feelings and in so doing develop self-awareness and build self-esteem.

This course can help bring focus, clarity and calm as well as fostering kindness, curiosity and patience. It is run as a 6 or 12 week program that can be incorporated into the PSHE curriculum.

There is also a follow up course available for the subsequent school year consisting of four lessons. This provides a valuable recap and helps to embed the core practices.
