Teachers Course
An in-depth introduction to mindfulness that draws on the best practices from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the Western mindfulness tradition as well as integrating elements of the Plum Village Approach to mindfulness developed by Thich Nhat Hanh and the monastics of Plum Village.

This course is designed specifically for teachers and consists of twelve 75 minute sessions, one for each week of the school term. Classes will take place in school at the end of the school day.

You will learn techniques to incorporate into your teaching approach. I will help you to use the breath to become more present, thus making it easier to face stressful emotions, improve your communication and respond rather than react in challenging situations.

These skills will benefit all aspects of your life and enable you to be more aware and present in your home life too.

Why Choose Mindful Meerkat?
When I was training with Jo I had the pleasure of experiencing her guided meditation. Jo's gentle presence immediately put me at ease and helped me relax. I felt totally safe and so was able to reach the vulnerable side of myself that I usually keep hidden. This led to a wonderful experience of deep relaxation during my meditation. I never knew I was that tense. Thanks Jo!
