In this course I teach children about the different parts of the brain and how they relate to their decisions, actions and emotions that they experience each day. Children are taught to distinguish between thoughts and feelings and in so doing develop self-awareness and build self-esteem. This course can help bring focus, clarity and calm as well as fostering kindness, curiosity and patience. It is run as a 6 or 12 week program that can be incorporated into the PSHE curriculum.

There is also a follow up course available for the subsequent school year consisting of 4 lessons. This provides a valuable recap and helps to embed the core practices.

Why Choose Mindful Meerkat?
Jo came in to deliver her Paws b sessions to our Year 6 children as part of their Mindfulness module and she was a huge hit. The sessions are fun and informative and the children always leave with strategies and ideas that they can use themselves at home. I think these sessions are of huge benefit to both children and adults and cannot recommend them highly enough. Jo has a lovely manner with the children and we look forward to having her back in next year.
